Every day we hear about another crazy fad that involves restricting your diet to a new kind of food. First there was the Atkins diet, where you emulated ‘real men’ and ate only meat. Then there was the Paleo diet, where you only eat food that doesn’t taste good. Even still we have the vegan diet where you only eat things that babies hate. Regardless of your particular choice of foods, a new study shows that the best choice of foods could actually be the ones you enjoy eating most.
Sam Walsh*, a Denver fitness guru explains his reasoning behind the candy diet, and just how he discovered it.
“I was in a rough part of my life, my girlfriend had just left me, and my boss was threatening to fire me, because my performance was slipping due to the depression that had set in. It was around then that I began to turn to food as a way to cope with the pain. At first it was just junk food like potato chips and those almost-instant noodle things you eat in college. But eventually I sank low enough to start binging on candy. It was a pretty dark time, though to be honest I don’t remember much of it. After awhile though, I began to notice a change in my physique, and I liked what I saw. I had enough energy to work out every day of the week, some days twice. I had abs for the first time in my life! Sure it was hard to sleep at first, but I could just fill that with more working out.”
Mr. Walsh* is still going strong with less than 3 hours of sleep a night. Now that’s what I call a super food! He has started writing his own book about how to utilize your time most effectively, which credits a lot of benefits to his all-candy diet. He has reconnected with his ex-girlfriend and settled down in a house in the country.

Disclaimer: Mr. Walsh* was diagnosed with type 3 diabetes recently as well as being fitted for a set of dentures as his teeth have rapidly deteriorated. As long as you’re cool with these side-effects, this diet is the bomb.
